Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Review

To tie-in with the release of this weekend's blockbuster film, Warner Bros. and Double Helix worked together to create Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. It's a third-person beat 'em up with co-op play, but it also has the odd flight mission.

Is this one of the rare licensed games that breaks the mold and is actually good?

inFAMOUS 2 Review

The Beast is coming. He's already annihilated one and all in Empire City, and he's slowly but surely making his way down the American coastline to New Merais. Cole, an RFI machine, and his electrical powers are the only thing that can put an end to the misery, but he needs 8 blast cores.

Are you up to the task? If so, check out my inFAMOUS 2 review to find out just how great Sucker Punch's latest offering is.

Hunted: The Demon's Forge Review

Fighting, shooting arrows, traversing dungeons and slaying dragons. It’s all in a day’s work for Caddock and E’lara – two mercenaries for hire, who find themselves fulfilling a quest based on sympathy for once. It’s this quest to find the people of a small town, and to help its king rekindle his relationship with his missing daughter, that forms the basis for Hunted: The Demon’s Forge.

If those aforementioned descriptors interest you at all, then check out my full review:

Red Faction: Armageddon Review

It's time to return to Mars, as THQ and Volition have teamed up to bring us Red Faction: Armageddon. Taking place fifty years after the events of its predecessor (Red Faction: Guerilla,) the game follows Darius Mason as he tries to make the red planet's surface habitable once again, following a freak accident/act of terrorism.

It's a really good game. You can read my full review by clicking the link below:

Hands-On Preview: inFAMOUS 2

Nestled in the area of Bathurst and College Streets in Toronto, is a new children's summer camp known as Camp Oochigeas. It was the location for Sony's inFAMOUS 2 preview event, on June 1. A great location for an event of this type, considering the game features a ton of climbing, and the camp does too (rock climbing, that is.)

I got a chance to play inFAMOUS 2 for about thirty to forty minutes, while chatting with a member of its development team who flew in from Seattle. Check out my hands-on impression article:

Kung Fu Panda 2 Review (XBOX 360/Kinect Version)

To compliment this week's theatrical release of Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda 2, THQ has released four separate video game adaptations of the license. Arguably the most interesting is the 360/Kinect version, which utilizes the motion sensing peripheral to allow gamers to perform physical kung fu moves that make their way into the game.

Rayman 3D Review

One of the strangest characters ever created for a video game is back in a 3D-enabled port of what is arguably his best outing yet. That would be Rayman, the arm and leg-less wonder, who somehow manages to get around through platforming action, even though he doesn’t have the necessary limbs for support. This strange conundrum is brought to new light now with the release of Rayman 3D – a port of Rayman 2 and one of the most intriguing Nintendo 3DS launch titles.
